MiCareerQuest South is not your typical career fair. In fact, it is not a career fair at all. It is a career exploration experience for thousands of high school students across our region. This year, you can be part of launching MiCareerQuest South for our region in a virtual setting. We are focusing on in-demand jobs that will be showcased through interactive and engaging virtual employer booths. These career booths will provide students with videos, presentations, FAQ’s and much more! During this one-day live virtual experience, students can have conversations with working professionals from a multitude of companies in our region.

Determine your level of involvement

How would your organization like to be involved? As an employer you can exhibit a career to students using a virtual booth. You can sponsor our event and receive recognition through marketing and during the event. You can also do both to maximize your presence at MiCareerQuest South.

Register to demonstrate your occupation

Follow the registration links on this page to sign-up as an exhibitor or sponsor. As an exhibitor, you will be able to create your own personalized space to showcase careers to students. As a sponsor, we will provide you with a list of all benefits included with your level of sponsorship. Don't worry, we are here to help! Design an Interactive Exhibit

Students will browse through the exhibit hall in our virtual platform to view your career booths. We are asking that employers create the most engaging virtual booth experience for students. Content for booths include, but are not limited to, pre-recorded videos, presentations, hyperlinks to additional websites, FAQs, and much more! Upload the content in your booth to showcase the most in-demand careers to students in our region!

Attend MiCareerQuest South

Attend MiCareerQuest South on April 22, 2021. Students will arrive and browse the virtual lobby from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They will have the opportunity to view your career booths and live instant message you and other employers about careers they are interested in.

1Why should I get involved as an employer?

You will have a great opportunity to encourage thousands of students to consider pursuing the needed jobs in your industry – and to play an important role in preparing our youth for viable careers, shaping our region’s future workforce. Also, you and your team can identify students that might be a good fit for internships, job shadowing and more.

2How do sponsorships work?

Sponsorships enable our organization to host this virtual event with the platform presented. Your sponsorships will allow a multitude of employers the opportunity to showcase careers to thousands of students in our region. Click the link Exhibitor and Sponsor link above to choose your sponsorship level.

3Does it cost anything to exhibit an occupation?

There is no registration fee to be an exhibitor. These are the working professionals that will engage students with their interactive booths and share career expertise and advice. They will help design and implement the various job-related demonstrations featuring tools and equipment of their occupations. Enthusiasm for what you do is an important qualification for this role.

5Can the employer chat with students during the event?

Yes. Employer’s can instant message chat with students during the virtual event. Employers can do group chat as well as private chat with job seekers.

6As an employer how do I set-up my booth?

After you complete the registration form for an exhibit at MiCareerQuest South you will be connected with one of our booth development team members. Our team will help guide you through the process of setting up your virtual booth for students and career searchers from our region. In the virtual booths we are looking for you to provide information, insights and general knowledge of the careers you desire to showcase. We want our attendees to gain knowledge on the opportunities available to them and help them create a decision for employment in their future. Booths can include, but are not limited to, pre-recorded videos, demonstrations, presentations, FAQs, hyperlinks to additional information, and interactive tasks.

7As an attendee (job seeker/Student) how do I access the site on the day of the event?

After you complete the registration as a student or job seeker you will receive a confirmation email and calendar invite for MiCareerQuest South. During registration you provided an email and password to register as an attendee. It is important you remember this information to log-in to the event on April 22! When you open the site on April 22, it will require you to provide this email and password, once completed you will enter MiCareerQuest South. Information will be provided in the event you lose or forget this log-in information.

8Which devices are compatible for this virtual event?

The platform in which we are hosting MiCareerQuest South is compatible on all devices. This includes mobile friendly version of the event allowing you to engage on-the-go. You do not need to download or invest anytime in learning a new software. The event will mimic the dynamics of a physical environment, making it easy to navigate around.

9Can I revisit the virtual site once the live-day is over?

The platform will be available for you to browse for one month after the live-day on April 22, 2021. The only day you will be able to live-chat employers is on April 22, 2021. When the one-month free browse ends, follow this webpage for any additional questions or information.

10Where can I find more information about employers and careers?

During the event, save documents from employers in your own virtual briefcase that you can review later. Also, take the opportunity to live chat employers during the event.
