Southeast reserve the right to accept or reject any or all applications received as a result of this request, to negotiate with all qualified sources, or to cancel in part of in its’ entirely the RFP/RFQ if it is in the best interest of Southeast Michigan Consortium and the Michigan Works! Southeast to do so. The Southeast Michigan Consortium and Michigan Works! Southeast contacting officer may require agencies selected to participate and to submit any price, technical or other revisions of their proposals that may result from negotiations.

Request for Proposals (RFP) for Jackson AJC Office Space

 

Michigan Works! Southeast is seeking office space in Jackson County for the purpose of locating a “One-Stop” American Job Center. The primary purpose of the service center is to provide  labor exchange and workforce development services for job seekers and employers. The main work area will be structured as a “library” with banks of computer workstations that provide access to the Internet, occupational information, resume writing, tutorials, and other tools and training materials to our customers. The main office area will be available to utilize as a Resource room. Job seekers may enter their resume into the Internet based databases and search the Internet for available job opportunities. Employers are able to search the resume databases as well as list their job openings into the various job banks on the Internet. Staff will utilize office cubicles and a limited number of private offices. A training room will be set up as a computer classroom; conference rooms will be used for meetings and as instruction facilities. The center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Repost of Request for Proposals (RFP) for Contract and Policy Consulting Services

Michigan Works! Southeast is seeking proposals for a policy consultant to review current policies, identify deficiencies and/or make recommendations for policy improvement. Identify and develop new policies as needed. Also distinguish policy from procedural activities with in documents. Assess operational procedures regarding policy use, development, review, staff knowledge and training needs on policy. Develop an onboarding plan for new policy/planning staff. Provide support to the new staff and to other leadership team staff regarding policy. Evaluate the technical policy needs for leadership staff and provide recommendations on expanding knowledge of policy development, resources, etc. Evaluate procurement policy and procedures, develop and deliver training on procurement policy for appropriate staff. Creation of a policy index, including formatting templates and establishing a policy numbering system. Engage operations and fiscal in policy related discussions. Creation and maintenance of a monthly progress report on work completed by consultant. Additional special projects can be assigned as needed.
