COVID-19 Update | MiCareerQuest Postponed
MiCareerQuest South event coordinators have been discussing our response to the guidance provided from the State of Michigan regarding COVID-19. As a planning team we regret to inform you that we will be postponing MiCareerQuest South, April 23, 2020 (SMCSI, Hudson, MI) until a specified date in the Fall of 2020. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our number one goal is to ensure everyone’s safety and work within the guidance directed to us by the State and within our county.
We are currently working to determine the best date to host MiCareerQuest South this fall, while ensuring we do not conflict with other state wide or local events already scheduled. We appreciate your patience through this planning phase and will answer all of your questions and concerns. We understand and respect that this is uncharted territory for all. Out of respect, the only notification you may hear from us within the next 60 days would be to share a new date for MiCareerQuest South.
It is our intent to maintain ALL registered organizations throughout this process. This includes completed registrations for quadrant exhibitors, sponsors, students, volunteers, guests and vendors. We will keep all organizations updated on new event timelines and work with any organization to maintain their registration during this process.
MiCareerQuest South is not your typical career fair. In fact, it is not a career fair at all. It is a career exploration experience for thousands of high school students across our region. This year, you can be part of launching MiCareerQuest for our region. Like the successful Grand Rapids event, we are focusing on in-demand jobs in these four career sectors: Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Health Sciences and Agricultural Science. Students will visit all four industry quadrants and participate in hands-on, interactive activities showcasing various occupations and have conversations with working professionals from a multitude of companies in our region.
