As a valued employer in Lenawee County for over 40 years, Venchurs Inc. recently assessed their current workforce and noticed a gap in required skills to remain competitive with their current accounts and accommodate new business demands.
Michigan Works! Southeast saw this as an opportunity for Venchurs to utilize Incumbent Worker Training Services in order to overcome their challenges. This service is a grant facilitated by Michigan Works! and provided Venchurs with funding that pays for skill enhancement of their current workforce which results in an industry recognized credential.
As a result of Venchurs Incumbent Worker Training Services, 10 employees are now trained and able to take on any variation of work responsibilities within the organization. The new trainings which involved Advance Product Quality Planning, Product Parts Approval Process, Cellular Manufacturing, Plant Floor Layout, and many more trainings will keep Venchurs running and ready for current accounts and new business demands. The 10 employees that attended the training will use these skills to help them stay employed and also keep Venchurs running strong.
